About the Position

🏕 Opportunity: Skeena Gold + Silver is bringing the legendary Eskay Creek deposit back into production, and they need experienced general forepersons to run pit operations on a 15-day-on/13-day-off rotation — a genuine leadership role on a high-profile revitalization project, at $125,000 to $150,000 a year. 🔧 The Role: Leads open pit operations and supervises mining activities; manages large crews across shifts; oversees project execution against budget and safety targets; directs mine development, road construction, crusher operations, and water systems work. 🍁 CanadaCampJobs Take: Eskay Creek was one of the richest gold-silver deposits ever found in BC, and this revitalization project is a big deal in the industry — a strong line for anyone's resume, not just a paycheque. The 15/13 rotation and six-figure salary reflect that this is a senior supervisory hire, not an entry point. ✅ Best Fit: Ideal for candidates who already hold a BC Mines Shift Boss Certificate. Ideal for workers with 8+ years open pit mining experience. Ideal for supervisors with 5+ years managing large teams specifically. Ideal for people who want to be part of a high-profile mine revitalization from an early stage. Ideal for candidates comfortable with a 15-day-on rotation. Not a fit for anyone without prior supervisory experience — this is not a first-time-foreman role.
