About the Position

🏕 Opportunity: Up to $56 an hour plus a monthly bonus for a journeyman electrician at Coeur's Silvertip mine in remote BC, working two weeks on, two weeks off. The role is listed as seasonal full-time, so ask about the season length before you commit. 🔧 The Role: Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems at a working mine, with heavy emphasis on 4160V and 600V gear and some fibre optic work. Shifts run 12 hours at a remote camp. PLC programming experience is a plus. 🍁 CanadaCampJobs Take: Silvertip is a classic hard-rock camp: 12-hour shifts, a 14/14 rotation, camp housing, and a crew from many backgrounds. The pay is top-tier for the trade, and the monthly bonus helps. The "seasonal" tag is the thing to check with the employer, since it affects whether this is a short run or a longer one. ✅ Best Fit: - Ideal for Red Seal or Interprovincial journeyman electricians with real high-voltage experience - Ideal for electricians who've worked 4160V and 600V systems and understand fibre basics - Ideal for tradespeople with PLC design or programming skills - Ideal for workers who like 12-hour shifts and an even 14/14 split - Ideal for anyone with camp or mining experience who wants a seasonal contract-style run - Not a fit for: electricians who need a year-round guaranteed position without confirming the season Rotation & Travel: 14 days on / 14 days off, 12-hour shifts, remote camp. Travel arrangements and point of hire not stated – confirm with employer.
