About the Position
Opportunity
This is a Maintenance Lead position at a remote workforce camp near Edmonton, AB. The rotation runs up to 4 weeks at a time, working 12-hour shifts. The role covers all aspects of camp maintenance, including small plumbing and heater repairs, kitchen appliance upkeep, roof and leak repairs, and small construction work.
Canada Camp Jobs Analysis
Maintenance Lead is a trades-adjacent role that suits someone who can troubleshoot a bit of everything — plumbing, heating, appliances, roofing, basic construction — rather than one specialty. Wage is dependent on experience rather than a posted rate, so it's worth confirming numbers before you apply. The variety is the appeal: no two days look the same, and 3-5 years of camp maintenance experience here builds toward a lead or facilities management role at a bigger operation. The catch is you're the one people call when something breaks, day or night during your rotation, and a Fall Arrest ticket is required because some of the work is at height — not a role for someone looking for a predictable routine.
