About the Position

๐Ÿ• Opportunity: Redpath is hiring Heavy Duty Mechanic journeypersons for its underground contract at Voisey's Bay in Labrador, working 14 days on and 14 off, 12-hour shifts, with paid flights from the airport closest to your point of hire. ๐Ÿ”ง The Role: Maintain and repair the underground mining equipment fleet. You'll read hydraulic and electrical schematics, use diagnostic software and service manuals, and keep production machines moving. Wage is "depending on experience" in the posting. ๐Ÿ CanadaCampJobs Take: Labrador's Voisey's Bay is about as remote as mining gets, so this is a proper fly-in rotation with camp housing. It rewards mechanics who already know underground equipment; the experience requirements are real (3 years on underground equipment, 2 in an underground environment). The wage isn't published, so ask about the rate early. โœ… Best Fit: - Ideal for HD mechanic journeypersons with underground mining experience - Ideal for mechanics comfortable with hydraulic and electrical schematics and diagnostic software - Ideal for workers who want a clean 14/14 split with flights covered - Ideal for people with the Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core (or provincial equivalent) - Ideal for mechanics willing to do a pre-employment medical, drug test and background check - Not a fit for: mechanics with no underground experience Rotation & Travel: 14 days on / 14 days off, 12-hour shifts, fly-in with camp. Paid flights from the airport closest to the point of hire.
