Canada Camp Jobs Analysis
General helper is the easiest entry point into camp kitchen work — no cooking experience required, just a FoodSafe ticket and a willingness to do the grunt work that keeps a kitchen moving. It's a solid way to get your foot in the door and see if camp life suits you before committing to a cook role. The downside is it's genuinely repetitive, physical work — dishwashing and restocking for 12-hour days, 7 days a week, for 4 weeks straight — so it suits someone who wants steady hours and overtime more than someone looking for variety.
