About the Position
๐ Opportunity: Redpath, one of the biggest underground mining contractors in the world, is hiring entry-level truck drivers, underground labourers, and support staff at the Canadian Royalties nickel mine in Nunavik on a 14-day-on/14-day-off rotation โ full on-the-job training included, so this one doesn't require a rรฉsumรฉ full of mining tickets to get started.
๐ง The Role: Operates haul trucks and support vehicles around the mine site; performs underground labour tasks including material handling; supports admin and logistics functions where assigned; completes on-the-job training toward an explosives permit and other site certifications.
๐ CanadaCampJobs Take: This is a genuine on-ramp into mining rather than a role that expects you to already have the tickets โ Redpath trains people up on-site, including toward an explosives permit, which is a real credential to walk away with even if you decide mining camp life isn't forever. Northern Quebec is remote, so it's fly-in only, but the trade-off is a well-established contractor with steady, ongoing hiring.
โ
Best Fit: Ideal for people with no prior mining experience who want real on-the-job training. Ideal for candidates with a valid driver's license interested in truck driving specifically. Ideal for workers comfortable with 12-hour shifts in a remote, fly-in-only setting. Ideal for candidates open to admin or logistics support roles as well as labour roles. Ideal for people willing to work toward site certifications like an explosives permit. Not a fit for anyone unwilling to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
