About the Position

๐Ÿ• Opportunity: No construction background needed. Dexterra is hiring entry-level labourers for a remote Nunavut site, paying up to $20.17 an hour on a 4-weeks-in, 2-weeks-out fly-in rotation. It's a way into northern camp work if you've never done it. ๐Ÿ”ง The Role: Construction labour and remote-site operations support: general site work, hands-on help to trades and camp operations, and whatever the crew needs that week. Shifts are 12 hours and can land on days, nights, weekends and holidays. Expect to lift up to 50 lbs and work in real northern weather, indoors and out. ๐Ÿ CanadaCampJobs Take: Four weeks is a good length for a first rotation: long enough to earn, short enough that home doesn't feel far away. You'll learn camp routines, site safety and how an Inuit-partnered northern workforce operates, which is useful experience to carry into later trades or operator jobs. Long 12-hour days in the cold are the trade-off. โœ… Best Fit: - Ideal for workers with no construction experience who want a foot in the door of northern camp work - Ideal for anyone ready for 12-hour shifts, nights and holidays included - Ideal for people who handle cold weather and physical work well - Ideal for those with First Aid/CPR, CSTS or other safety tickets (they're a bonus, not required) - Ideal for workers who respect and want to work with Indigenous and Inuit communities - Not a fit for: anyone who can't do four weeks away at a remote site, or who can't meet client site-access requirements Rotation & Travel: 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off, fly-in/fly-out. Paid flights tag shown on the posting; confirm the point of hire and travel terms with the employer.
