About the Position
Opportunity
This is a Cabin Steward position aboard the MV Isabelle, a 650-passenger floatel based out of Squamish, BC, on contract from July 25, 2026 to January 30, 2027. Rotations run flexible schedules such as 21&7, 2&2, or 4&2, with rotating shifts including nights, cleaning cabins and common areas on board.
Canada Camp Jobs Analysis
Floatel work is a different animal from a land camp — you're living and working on a vessel, so marine safety tickets like STCW Basic Safety, Survival Craft, and Passenger Safety Management are mandatory, not optional, which is a real barrier to entry if you don't already hold them. The trade-off for that certification hurdle is decent onboard perks: full meals, WiFi, gym access, and a flexible mix of rotation options to match your life outside camp. The physical side is real too — lifting up to 50 lbs and repetitive cleaning motions on a rotating night-shift schedule — so it suits someone comfortable with hospitality-style grind work in a marine setting.

- Marine safety certifications (STCW, First Aid)

- Criminal record check
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working night shifts
Benefits
- Onboard accommodation and full meals
- 10 days paid holiday or 4% of gross
