[Canada Camp Jobs Analysis]
Baker pays a bit more than the breakfast cook line here, and it's the kind of role that can turn into a real trade if you stick with it — most camp bakers who last a few seasons end up with skills that carry straight into hotel or resort kitchens, or a shot at a lead baker or kitchen supervisor spot on a bigger camp. The work itself is steady and hands-on, and having a couple years of baking under your belt going in makes the shift a lot less brutal than starting cold. The catch is the same one every camp kitchen job has: 4 weeks on nights, on your feet, before you see home again, and that stretch wears on people who aren't used to it. Worth it if the wage and schedule work for your life, but go in with eyes open about the rotation length.
